My mom had a friend call or text her the other day saying that I really needed to put some updated photos on the blog. I'll admit it hasn't been my top priority, its not easy trying to keep up with multiple sites. Anywho, here are some pictures from Easter. We had a great day, and the weather was beautiful. It was one of those its suppose to rain all day kind of day and then it was a perfect sunny day!

Vacation

We were so lucky to get out of town for a few days at the end of January to enjoy some sun and fun in Key Largo. We did a little sight seeing, but most of our time was spent at our little resort at the beach, playing at the playground, or finding some great restaurant to feed us mass quantities of fish :) We ate way too much on this vacation but oh was it so good. M was such a good girl the entire time and really proved to us that she is a pretty good little traveler if she has her Mammy P in the back seat with her to keep her occupied 100% of the time :) My mom was great and went with us to help out with Miss Maizie so that Tyler and I could both do just a smidgen of relaxing. :)

Anywho, one day we went to this really neat marine animal park, Theatre of the Sea, just down the road from us. It was so cool an Maizie loved all the shows especially the dolphins. Tyler even got her a stuffed dolphin while we were there, which she quickly named Twister, after one of the dolphins in the park.

Hot Chocolate anyone???

Once we started going sledding on what seems to be a daily basis with all this snow we've been getting, I decided it was time for Maizie to be introduced to the most wonderful post sledding beverage, hot chocolate. I am sort of no fun when it comes to things like this because I know once I introduce it, we will always have to have it. So what happens when Mom forgets to buy more hot chocolate at the store and we have just come in from the best sledding adventure ever ??? Mom learns to make homemade hot chocolate :) Check out the recipe here, its really quite good, but not good for you!

Anywho, like any little kid M loves to have a million mini marshmallows with her hot chocolate, while momma likes to add some irish cream (McCormicks's, of course), don't judge. Its cold out and someone has to get through the next few hours before daddy gets home. But seriously, if you like Irish Cream, skip Bailey's and get McCormick's its awesome!

We love sledding!

We've been trying to enjoy all this snow we've been getting (what else can you do) so any day that it was warm enough to get outside we did a lot of sledding. M loves it and we probably have one of the best hills in the neighborhood in our yard so we are pretty lucky, we don't have to go far. M is brave enough to go by herself and is so funny about it. I love these pictures of Tyler running down the hill in front of her. Needless to say, Tyler didn't have to work out on the days we went sledding, lots of running and hauling our girl back up the hill. I just had to take the pictures :)

Here are some sweet pictures of our girl after a nap. I just love these pictures of her, there is just something about them. I've been trying to capture more real life moments of Maize and our family. I really want to be able to remember what things were really like everyday rather than a bunch of posed photos. I also hope that Maizie will see from these types of pictures how much fun we had when she was little and how much her daddy and I love her.

Christmas Eve! :)

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family, friends and special little girl. She is the best thing in the whole world and has made the holidays SO much fun. We had a nice little dinner at our house Christmas Eve with my parents and Aunt, then did our own little thing Christmas morning with a yummy breakfast. Then late afternoon everyone showed up to our house for nice little family get together. The boys fried us a turkey and the ladies finished up all the sides and rolls. We had quite a spread! Here are a few pictures of our girl on Christmas Eve! I'll try to split them up since I have so many pictures that I want to share.

Maizie and I were so excited when it started snowing on Christmas Eve morning. We couldn't wait to get on our boots and play around in it for a bit. When I say we, I mean it, its crazy how much fun snow is again once you have a kiddo. I just love to watch the amazement on her face when she is looking at those falling snow flakes. I used to hate the snow and I imagine if I had to go to work everyday and get Miss Maizie to and from child care in the snow I might still hate it, but since I don't I LOVE it now. I really hope we get some more this winter so that we can do some more sledding like last year, as we have the perfect hills on either side of our house.

At one point there were some huge snow flakes falling, I wish I would have gotten some pictures of them but we got cold and went inside for some hot cocoa.

Party Time!

We celebrated M's 2nd Birthday this weekend and had such a great time. Unfortunately, M has been fighting some kind of virus all week so she wasn't 100% at her party but seems to be feeling quite a bit better today. I am hopeful we are on the road to recovery. Anywho, back to the party....

I decided on the theme because I figure this will be my last year getting to decide the theme. We went with a Sweets Party, because our girl LOVES anything sweet. We had sugar cookies, cake pops, chocolate covered pretzels, big cupcakes, and mini cupcakes. Needless to say I went a little overboard but my girl only turns 2 once! :)

This year Tyler built M a grocery store in her bedroom. Its way cool and I've already logged quite a bit of time shopping for fake groceries! :) The best part is that M likes to hand out money instead of take the money for the items I purchase, its pretty funny. I tried to explain it to her but for now she likes giving it away more than taking it.

Yesterday our baby was two years old! Neither of us can believe its been a whole two years since she was born, but at the same time I honestly don't remember what it was like not having her around. Ok, I do a little bit nice dinners out, or at home, and sleeping 8 consecutive hours, but I wouldn't trade any of it.

This weekend we had our family over for a nice little birthday party and Sunday we are celebrated quietly at home. Our girl just isn't one for a crowd so a nice evening with momma and daddy should be right up her alley. :)

We did a little 2 year photo shoot this morning in the back yard and this is what we got! :)

I can hardly believe its already the middle of November, where has the year gone? Maizie and I have been trying to enjoy every nice day that we've been getting here lately. It looks like its going to get crummy for a day or two but then be beautiful again into next week. I am hoping this weather sticks around all winter but I have my doubts. Until winter decides to take over, M and I will spend our days taking walks with Cash, sliding, blowing bubbles and chasing each other around the yard. :)

Ok, so if you've seen the movie, Pet Cemetery, then you know exactly what I'm talking about when you see the picture below. If you haven't its worth seeing, I guess, especially since its almost Halloween! I thought this picture was priceless, of course, Tyler being the protective father he is, didn't think it was too funny when he saw the look on the cat's face. Tyler is also the one that said the cat looked just like "Church" from the movie. He never forgets a movie! :)

Pumpkin Patch!

We headed out to Pumpkins Etc. around the Platte City area earlier this week. What a cute little place. I loved it. Plus, it wasn't terribly crowded like a lot of other pumpkin patches. It was a delightful morning adventure and M got to play in the hay and hold her first baby kitten. She asked if she could bring her home, which I quickly said no, because she would miss her brothers and sisters too much. That ended that:)

I've been making these bottles like a crazy lady, saving every glass bottle I can find. I love them and may be a tad bit obsessed. I hope you all like them too. Bedtime Routine

We have quite the bedtime routine which includes; bath, yogurt or "b-yo" as M calls it, drinks, get in bed and then we play "spider" an app on my iphone. Its pretty cute, M loves playing it with Tyler every night before bed now. She lays on his shoulder and they "spider" away. If you have an iphone and a kiddo I highly recommend this app. :)

I had to post these pictures of Maizie. We got home from swimming and our girl wanted to lay outside on our couch. She never lays down for longer than 30 seconds unless she's asleep, she must have been pooped from the pool because she laid here for about 2 or 3 minutes. Of course she wasn't completely still, but the most still I've seen her in months! :)

Hot Summer Nights

Maizie has discovered a love for running through our sprinklers in the evenings. Its pretty funny to watch her gallop through the yard from sprinkler to sprinkler. I'm sure the neighbors are calling us hillbillies even more now! :)

We celebrated Jacob's Birthday at our house over Memorial Day weekend! Its hard to believe that he's already 10 years old, before I know it M will be that old as well! :(

It was good to get the kiddos together and M and Taylor or "T" as Maizie calls her had a chance to play!

Of course no Birthday would be complete without Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting! Both Jacob and the girls really enjoyed dessert!

Zoo Fun!

Delia, Jesse, Tiffany, Mammy T, Maizie and I all loaded up last week to take a trip to the Topeka Zoo! It is such a nice, small zoo which was perfect for the kids. They actually got to see the animals and we didn't have to walk 9 miles to do so! I bet we spent about 2 hours at the zoo and then hit the park for a picnic afterwards! It was a really nice day, not too hot!

18 Months Old!

Where has the time gone??? Tyler and I are both a little shocked that we have an 18 month old, and that our little baby is quickly turning into a big girl!

Here is a list of M's most recent accomplishments:

1. Going potty on her big girl potty! Shockingly, she does this more often than not, and I can't say I'll miss the diapers once she is out of them! :) I know its going to be awhile but the girl is showing a lot of interest so we are running with it!

2. Repeats pretty much everything we say! If a word is more than one syllable she always gets 1 syllable out and has been getting 2 out for a few words.

3. Favorite words: "NO", "more", "down", "back", "mama", "daddy", "cash", "Chase", the list goes on. As you can see Cash has it pretty rough around here with M telling him what to do as well these days :)

4. Can count to 3! 1, 2, 3, Go! Pretty cute!

5. Can identify/say all body parts!

6. Sings/does actions to a lot of silly song! Our current favorite, "The Wheels on the Bus".

7. Loves reading and does a great job of recognizing what things are and telling us what things are in the stories.

8. She loves to feed Cash dinner every night, and give him a treat every time we leave the house!

I'm sure there's more but for now that's all I'll list! She is quite the girl and we feel so lucky to be her parents!

Maizie celebrated her 1/2 birthday on Friday with cupcakes and Cash celebrated his 4th birthday with doggie ice cream! :) The two of them are pretty great buddies and enjoyed celebrating together!

Tyler and I took about 300 pictures of the M this weekend so here are a few of our big girl!

Mother's Day weekend was such a nice weekend, despite the crummy weather! Maizie and Tyler made me breakfast in bed and let me sleep in a little bit which was much appreciated! It was pretty cute to see her helping Tyler carry in my tray of food, which she sat in bed and helped me eat! :) Girl doesn't miss out on an opportunity to eat!

After breakfast we headed to Home Depot and then later in the day to Grass Pad to get some trees. I know a good ole family weekend! :) Anywho, Tyler had his truck in the back yard unloading trees and Maizie played in it while he was working. I'll have to post some before and after pictures of our backyard transformation, its looking pretty awesome! :) For now, enjoy these pictures of our girl!

Maizie's new favorite thing to do is take B and Cash for long walks up and down our street. Its pretty stinking cute! I caught her taking B for a walk the other night and will get footage of her and Cash soon.

This B and stroller came from our very nice neighbors, who said they get a kick out of watching Maizie and I go up and down the street in her wagon so they thought she might like this stroller and baby set! Well, liking it is an understatement, she LOVES it!

Last week, Maizie and I went up to Weston to have a picnic in the park with Tyler! It was such a beautiful day and we had so much fun eating our lunch and playing on the jungle gym afterwards. Maizie of course loved it because a: she got to be outside, b. she got to see her Daddy in the middle of the day, and c. because she got to be outside :) This girl LOVES being outside, its all we do now, which I must say I am not complaining about!

Anywho, Maizie loved going down the slide at the park and showed us her daredevil side by going down head first, gotta love her!

We spent a few afternoons and one night at my mom and dad's recently. We did an Easter Egg hunt in Weston, and then did cookies in the afternoon. Maizie had lots of fun getting to know my parents cats and I think has finally overcome her fear of them. When there wasn't a cat in sight she would hollar "kitty, kitty" really loudly! Let's just say that didn't bring them out of their hiding spots! I'm just glad she doesn't seem to mind them now! :)

Maizie had her first big spill today. She stumbled off the step on our front porch and did a nose dive into the concrete. Poor girl! She ended up with a goose egg on her head and a scratched up face/nose! She took it really well though, only cried for about a minute, I was pretty proud of her! :) Just a few minutes after she was pushing "B" around in here stroller and back to her old self! Aunt Niki and I had just taken pictures of her and Chase in their bunny ears (pics posted ASAP) good thing we got them done before the spill!

I've been working for a long time to get M to wear a headband and I think I've finally accomplished my goal. She even requests that I put it in her hair sometimes :) Next, barrettes because little misses hair is growing pretty fast and its soon to be right in her eyes! Here are a few pictures of our cutie!

What a weekend.....

Miss Maizie's cousins were in from Nashville and let me tell you we went nonstop all weekend. First, we headed to an open gym at Mercury Gymnastics, its a pretty sweet place and the kids loved it. All of them were worn slick after an hour of fun! The most exciting thing came Sunday morning when we went to Chuck E. Cheese! It was our whole families first time neither Tyler or I had ever been there. M loved it of course and once again was worn slick after that adventure. We had a lot of cousin play time in between the gym and Chuck E. so needless to say our girl is wiped out! She slept until 9am Monday morning, took a 2hr 15 min nap and was asleep again by 9:00 pm. This never happens in our house, I think the cousins may need to visit more often! :) Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

Deila's face says a little something like..... "This is so stupid why am I riding this horse"! It reminded me of a childhood vacation with my family. My sister had just graduated from high school and we went to Disney World, pretty much every picture of Stacey from that trip had a similar expression to Delia's! :) I'm not sure Stacey has ever forgiven me or my parents for that vacation. :)

Maizie really loves to help in the kitchen, whether its emptying the dishwasher, throwing away trash, sweeping the floors or cooking, she's a big fan of helping me out! Everything takes a bit longer to get done but she loves it so much I can't not let her help me out! We recently invested in an awesome item called a "learning tower" that is like a stool/chair that M can climb up in so that she is at counter height and is surrounded on all four sides. Before this little invention we were using a dinning room chair and thats about as safe as letting her play out in the street! :) She loves eating her meals and cooking with me there. Its been such an awesome thing, we all love it.

Lately, she's helped snap asparagus, bake a cake and muffins (speaking of muffins, I'm going to post the recipe for that later), pick up potato peels and many other things! Like I said I can't say enough good things about it! She loves it and that makes me love it! :)

Who knows maybe all this time in the kitchen with her momma will make her into some world famous chef! I picked Giada because she's the prettiest of the Food Network stars :)

Miss Maizie

Little Miss Maizie is becoming quite the big girl these days! She is signing for words like; more, all done, tired, eat and drink. Its been really helpful in a lot of different situations. For example, we've started going to story time at the library which has been a lot of fun. However, Maizie starts to get tired of the situation and politely gives me the sign for all done and then starts waving and saying "bye bye" to everyone. Its pretty cute and so nice that she is able to nicely tell me when she's ready to go. Its a lot better than a meltdown in the middle of the library! :)

While signing has been helpful, I don't think we are going to need them for too much longer M already has about 20+ words/names that she can say and repeat when asked to or shown a picture. Tyler and I both have an app on our iphones called baby flash cards that we use when we need our girl to sit still and quietly play for a bit (which isn't often) but she loves it and really tries so hard to repeat all of the words. Its so cool to watch her vocabulary develop. I swear she learns a new word everyday!

Other than that, we've just been enjoying the warmer temps and our random outings! I know I'm looking forward to spring because we are going to be able to have so much more fun outside playing and exploring.

Miss Maizie LOVES, LOVES, LOVES being outside. We've gotten a few nice days here and we can't keep her inside at all! We've even been having our afternoon snacks outside, she just can't seem to get enough! Even when its dark and quite a bit cooler she insists on bundling up and hanging out on the deck with her Daddy and Cash! I have a feeling we may need to purchase some stock in a sunscreen company because I don't think we will be inside much at all this upcoming Spring/Summer and Fall! Someone else that's loving all this outside adventure time is our four legged friend Cash, who was quite stir crazy until this week. Anywho, we are all enjoying our time outside so much, I think there is rain the the forecast next week, so I'm not sure how that's going to go over with our girl! It could be a rough week! I'm up for most anything but I don't like being out in the cold rain, so I'm gonna have to put my foot down there! :)

Maizie and her cousin Taylor got to have a little play date this past weekend. I took around 100 pictures and would say that I got like 3 that are OK. I'd love to get more of them together but if one was looking the other wasn't, you know the drill. Anywho, here are a few pictures of them together. The are about 9 weeks apart and are pretty much on the same playing level these days so I'd say they are going to have quite a lot of fun together as they get bigger.

Tyler and Maizie got one last sledding session in before our hill of snow is gone. It's not all melted yet but seems to be more of mud sledding than snow at this point. I'm certain Maizie won't mind but I'm not up for that kind of clean up yet.

Sledding!

Maizie, Tyler and I went sledding yesterday, it was a bit cold but so much fun! Maizie loved it so much and slept so good last night. I told Tyler we will be out there again tonight and every night until the snow melts. If that's all is takes for our girl to sleep then I'm all for it. I'm sure it was just a fluke but I'm willing to try it again! :)

But, it was the cheapest hat and for some reason I just love it! :) I think M was hoping that if we got our sun hats out we would magically be back in Florida! I wish it were that easy :)

I know some of you may be thinking she's been a little deprived if this was her first ice cream, but we don't really offer little miss many sweet things. Reason being she is sweet enough, but the REAL reason is that she doesn't need any extra energy! :)

Here are a few more pictures from our trip. We had such a great time and were so lucky to be able to see the Hewe's family the last few days of our trip. We also got to help Jesse celebrate his 5th Birthday! He is going to have quite the celebration in a few days as he gets to go to Disney World for his Birthday! How lucky is he?? Anywho, lots of great memories from this trip and I know I'm looking forward to some more warm weather vacations in the coming winters! :)

Florida 2010!

Last week we took a little family vacation with the French's to Florida! We got some much needed sun and warm temperatures, it was such a nice way to break up this cold winter we've been having! I'd love to say we all got some rest but Miss Maizie went nonstop the entire time as she loved being able to be outside. A few of her favorite things were the pool, the beach, the birds, flying kites and our daily walks.

I got a new camera for Christmas, so I took around 900 pictures on this trip, it was a huge joke by the end of the trip as everyone was getting a little tired of our daily sunset photo ops :) I just couldn't help myself!

Here are a few of my faves of Miss Maizie! I just realized how many pictures I wanted to share as I was uploading so there may be several posts from this trip! :)

As you can see she immediately wanted to get in the water, she's not afraid of a thing except for cats and small dogs! :) However, we are slowly overcoming both of those fears! Let's just say that Maizie has very little time for eating, she is constantly on the go and doesn't think eating is important enough for a break. Needless to say, she does not sit in her highchair for very long. The other night we had Chinese food, which M loves! I decided we would just eat dinner on the floor, I mean thats acceptable right? Anywho, here are some funny pictures of us dining on the kitchen floor. I realize that she probably won't have the best table manners but at least she's eating! :) As a parent I am finding that you've gotta do what you've gotta do!

Sunday was a fun little day at our house! We got to carve pumpkins with our little pumpkin for the first time and we had such a good time doing it. It's so funny to watch Maizie when we introduce something new to her and she loved carving pumpkins. This is actually one of my most favorite things to do around this time of year and I have some really fond memories of doing this with my dad! I hope Maizie enjoys it as much as I still do over the years!

I enjoy this face, it was her first dig into the pumpkin and she wasn't too sure about what she found inside.

It didn't take her long to get the idea and she started pulling out the insides, while Tyler and I kept swatting her hands away from her mouth! Gross pumpkin insides! :)

Recently, Tyler stuck Maizie in the laundry basket and pushed her around the house which was a huge mistake because now we can't get her out of it. Now, every night after bath time she finds the basket no matter where its hiding and climbs in for her evening ride. Its pretty cute, I'm just glad its Tyler that she expects to do this and not me! I don't know that my back could take it. Here are a few pictures of her enjoying her rides through the house! :)

Here are some funny pics of our funny little girl lately. She has started really moving and a shaking which has been a lot of fun for Tyler and I to watch her change from day to day! She literally does something new everyday, its pretty cool!

Maizie also had her cousins in town a few weekends ago, which was lots of fun. Maizie was a good hostess and got out her new jump house for everyone to play on! We have it set up in the basement so we are pretty pumped that we will be able to use it year round.

Long time no blog.....

Hello again, I guess we've just been super busy (and tired) and have not blogger lately. All is well at the French household. Maizie is getting closer and closer to walking, I'll have to post some video of her doing so later! Its pretty crazy how much they change in 10 months!

We are slowly but surely getting settled in the new house. I can't say a single room is completely show ready but its getting there, its been fun to slowly decorate and find things that we really like, which I feel will probably continue over the next year or so. :)

we're moving (don't worry not far, just right down the street basically)!!!!!!!! We closed on our new home today and we couldn't be happier, we just love it! The most important part is that the kitchen is awesome, you all know how I love a good kitchen. We also have some pretty cool neighbors, Adam and Niki live right down the street! Its going to be so much fun for Maizie and "Tad" to grow up next to each other!

Hip Update

We took Maizie to her orthopedic doctor on Thursday for another X-ray and everything looks great! Before now, we've not been able to see the ball of her hip but its forming nicely and so is the hip socket, we are so thrilled! We go back again in 6 months for another X-ray and if things look good there, which they should then we won't go back for another year. We are so happy that everything is taking shape as it should and that her being breech for so long doesn't seem to be impacting her hips!

Maizie has crawling totally figured out now, she is on the move constantly (surprise, I know) and discovering new things. This weeks new things were the stairs and Cash's food/water bowls, which I quickly moved the the bathroom so that I can keep the door shut on them! As for the stairs, hopefully it will be some time before she is crawling up them :) For those of you that may not get to see Maizie in person let me just fill you in a bit and for those of you that have been around her you know exactly what I am talking about..... she is the most active child ever (ok I am sure there are more active) but seriously she never stops moving! Even while eating and at night when we are laying down for bed she typically pulls all sorts of crazy moves before she literally passes out! :) She definitely keeps us entertained and on the move, we love it and wouldn't have it any other way!

Little Miss Maizie has been pretty busy this summer! We've had several play dates with friends and have been out and about enjoying the world!

She is getting really close to crawling, and does what I like to call the "army crawl"! She can get where she wants to go though, when I am making dinner she finds her way into the kitchen and when showering she makes her way right to the shower door! She's such a sweet and funny little girl, we just couldn't be happier with her growing personality!

Big Weekend!

Maizie had a big weekend filled with many firsts!

First, we played outside in the grass on our new clean sheet, if you've not heard of this they are fabulous, just a nice little ground cover that repels water so you don't get damp when your sitting on the ground and large enough for Maizie for wonder freely!

Next, we went skinny dipping in our new baby pool! She had a big time! I have a lengthy video that I'll try to post later!

Lastly, we tried to eat some rice which Momma messed up so it was too chunky! (I really am a good cook!) Needless to say, we didn't like it much.... we are going to try it again in a few days!

Finally, we fell asleep! I took this picture the other day because I realized I had very few pictures of her sleeping, and that's because it rarely happens! :)

Tonight was a great night, Maizie giggled for the first time! We've heard little hints of a giggle for about the last month but nothing more! We've been acting like goof balls trying to get her to laugh and you would never guess who got her to laugh.... CASH!

Tyler had just cleaned out Cash's ears in the garage and of course he got wet because it has been raining outside. He came in the house and starts rolling around on the rug to dry himself off and that set her off, then he continued running through the house like a wild man which she loved. Who would have thought good ole Cash would be the one to get her to laugh for the first time, just shows how much she loves him already! They are going to be the best of friends! Needless to say, Cash will probably start getting a lot more attention around the house since he seems to be the only that that will get her laughing!

4 Months Old!

Maizie is 4 months old which I can hardly believe! I am pretty sure I've said that a hundred times already but it really is hard to believe! Today we have figured out how to roll over from tummy to back and back to tummy! She has rolled over once or twice and then never did it again but today she's done it several times and I even have video to prove it, which I will post later.

It seems like we've been sort of busy, I guess its the warmer temperatures! We've actually been out of the house! Oh, and we had our first grocery store adventure this week. If you know me well you know that I love the grocery store! It was a very successful trip, so I think we will be able to go back again! :)

3 Months Old!!!!

We can hardly believe that our little girl is 3 months old! I probably take 10 pictures a day to get a good one, here are a few for you to enjoy!

We haven't gotten out a lot this winter so this nice weather has really given us spring fever. We took advantage of it this weekend and took Maizie on her first walk at the State Park, in Weston. We only got a mile in before someone got a little fussy, but better than nothing!

She got a little unhappy in her stroller about 1/2 mile into the walk so Tyler held her on the way back. She really enjoyed the walk once she was out of her stroller.

Her cute new cherry pj's and her T-bear. T-bear used to be my teddy bear, my grandma gave me him when I was born and I carried him all over. He even traveled to Italy with me in 2005. We had some cute little shirts with Maizie's name embroidered in them. She may or may not like him much when she gets bigger, but I wanted to get a few pics of her with him.

2 Months Old!

I'm a little late with this post because she will be 10 weeks old tomorrow (Friday). We lived through our shots last week... she did really good just a little fussy that night and next day, but nothing we couldn't handle.

Today we went back to CMH for another sonogram of her hip and the doctor says everything looks wonderful, so we only have to wear our brace to sleep in now! We were so excited and pretty surprised that the doctor has cut her time so much, we were doing 20 hours a day so from 20 to bed time only is a pretty huge step! Anywho, we are super excited not to have to deal with that silly thing so much and thankful that everything is progressing so well! We don't have to go back until April 2nd, and it will be Spring by then, hopefully! :)

This past Thursday Maizie finally got permission from the Docs to move to a removable hip brace. So for the past 8 weeks we have not gotten to give our girl a full fledged bath, just little sponge baths. This brace still sucks but at least we can take it off for 4 hours a day, I know wow only 4 hours, stinks I know, but hopefully here pretty soon she will only have to wear it over night.

So since we are able to remove the brace guess who got her first bath.... Miss Maizie!

After a lovely stay at the hospital Tyler and I brought our little love home. It was super nice having the nurses there for us when we needed them which was frequent, but we were all ready to get home just to get some rest. It seemed like every time we were almost asleep a nurse or doctor needed to poke around on us.

We welcomed our sweet baby girl, Maizie Rae into the world at 12.27 p.m. by a planned c-section. If you remember from earlier posts the little lady was breech and oh was she ever stuck up there.

Ok, pics aren't in any particular order, I am struggling to get them to move to be in order, so am calling it quits!

I decided I wanted some belly shots done before Maizie's big arrival. A little something for me to remember the last nine months and something fun for Maizie to have when she gets bigger. Of course Tyler isn't looking in half the pictures and in most of them I have a double chin but what pregnant woman isn't a little critical of herself! :) Oh well, other than than I love them they are all great!

Angela Davis did the pictures for us last Friday, she does such a wonderful job, you should really check out all of her work. She is also going to do pictures of Maizie's first year, so stay tuned for all of those in the coming months.

Other Maizie news....... we found out on Friday that she is breech! :) Yes, thats right bottom first! The doctor's been wrong about her position the whole time, but now we have confirmation. So I've been laying upside down trying to get her to move and Tyler's been shining a flashlight on my belly and talking to my belly trying to get her to flip. Anyway, so far no success and I am pretty sure CASH thinks we've totally lost it. We're both a little bummed about the situation but are hoping that she gets things straight here pretty soon, but if not we will just do a c-section. We are going back on Friday to discuss what we're going to do so she may be here sooner than later! We'll keep you posted.

This weekend 3 of my girlfriends from college came to visit to have a little pre-baby get together. Special thanks to Lauren, Margy and Kristin for making the trip and for pampering me! I really appreciate it and it was great to get to see you all. This picture is of CASH and Lauren, who he pretty much fell in love with. Actually, he loved all of them because he had 4 women to love on him. He laid around the house all day Sunday, I am pretty sure he was depressed that they had left.

My belly at 34 weeks! Its really done some growing if you compare it to week 32! :)

Tyler and I were watching some Monday night football and Cash went and laid all by himself upstairs on the landing. The look on his face just screams, "my days of being the favorite are numbered." Anyway, we thought it was pretty cute!

8 Months/32 weeks!

We've hit the 8 month milestone this weekend! I can hardly believe she will be here in 7 or so weeks! Everything is going really well! We had a doctor's appointment this week and she is booty up- head down! A position I hope she stays in for the rest of the pregnancy.

The room is pretty much ready now, we are just waiting on the cushion for the glider and we'd like to find something else to hang on her walls, but so far nothing has struck us. Anywho, here is a picture of my belly, and I promise to get some pictures of her finished room up here later tonight or tomorrow!

29 weeks!

Belly update! Here we are at 29 weeks! Just 11 more to go, I can hardly believe it!

Tyler and I went to our labor and delivery class today, which was really great! We got a tour of the hospital and both feel a lot better about the whole process! We are ready to go whenever she is (which I hope isn't anytime real soon, it would be too early)!

We also got lucky that my sister's baby Taylor has arrived so that we can get a little practice in with her. Yesterday, I successfully changed a poopy diaper, gave her a bottle, and burped her. I am feeling pretty good about things right now! :)

My sister, Stacey, delivered a healthy baby girl on Friday, September 12th! She weighed 6lbs. 5oz. and was 19 and 3/4 inches long. Both Mom and baby are doing great! Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy, she is so cute!

It was brought to my attention that CASH hadn't made a blog appearance yet so thought I would share this cute picture. My nephew Jacob stayed the night with Tyler and I a week or so ago and all CASH wanted to do was sleep with him. He jumped off the bed (yes the bed) and snuggled in next to Jacob on the floor without waking him. It was pretty stinking cute! Hopefully he will love his little Maizie as much as Jacob!

My oh my what a month will do......

We had another sonogram last week and Maizie now weighs 1lb. 8oz. She doubled in weight in just 5 weeks! Quite the growth spurt if you ask me! Needless to say I've had a bit of a growth spurt myself. :)

We also sort of hit the jackpot when our nurse asked if she could play around with the sono machine of course we said "yes". Little did we know she was going to be able to give us pictures of Maizie in 3-D! They are really cool and sort of a sneak peak at what she is going to look like! She definitely has my nose!

Oh yes, another note worthy item is that Tyler was finally able to feel Maizie kick from the outside, so he is pretty thrilled!

The room is freshly painted, thanks to Tyler! Of course, we had to get the crib with bedding up just so we could see what it was going to look like! I think its going to be so cute! Like Tyler's mom Terri said "if you don't wake up happy in this room, I am not sure where you will!"
